From the earthy heart of a West Cork woodland, this smoothly proportioned, hand crafted wooden spoon is made by Frank from birch sustainably harvested on his coppice in Ballydehob. Often carved for a newborn or loved one, the symbol of fondness and affection at one time was the spoon.
In ancient times birch was associated with love, purity and birth.
This spoon also holds 15ml which is a tablespoon measure and has a deep scoop and long handle - ideal for the baker to scoop ingredients from deep pots and bags.
